NOMA to expand Sculpture Garden

In December, the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) announced the expansion of the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden. It currently spreads over five acres of land and houses just over 60 sculptures. The expansion will add another six acres with space for more sculptures, an amphitheater and stage, walkways, a new gallery and an outdoor learning space. The expansion will allow NOMA to increase the amount of opportunities which allow the public to learn, and will include film screenings, theatrical productions, wellness classes, workshops, events, tours, and festivals. There will also be an outdoor classroom on the edge of the garden. The Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden and its expansion will be free and open to the public seven days a week.
